Young, not so grown up 

Together, never

Lost in a maze

All the wrong turns made

Wrapped in a haze

Tied in a knot

Pushed deep under

Confused in a daze

Naïve or silly

Desperate and needy

Terrified to open up

Muted by fear 

Faded and jaded

Lost in the fog

A distant cloud

Floated off

Wondering what

Might have been

If only I’d tried

To find my way in.
